Billing FAQ

The awkward questions

Including why there isn't a free trial.

Is there a free trial?

No — and that's deliberate. Instead of a countdown clock, there's no setup fee and no contract: you pay for the first month, and if it isn't earning its keep you cancel. A trial that expires the week you're flat out isn't a fair test of software you'd use every day.

What counts as a “crane or truck”?

Any powered unit you dispatch and bill for — crane, boom truck, picker. Trailers, rigging kits and pickup trucks don't count against your band.

What if I grow past my band mid-year?

Move up a tier when the extra unit goes into service. No renegotiation, no new contract — the price is on this page, and it's the same price for everyone in that band.

Do you charge per user?

No. Put your whole office and every operator on it. Charging you per seat would just push you to share logins, which ruins the ticket record the product exists to keep.

Is there an implementation fee?

No. This is the main reason cr4nes exists: enterprise crane software routinely quotes four figures before you've run a single ticket. Setup here is $0, permanently.

How do I cancel?

From Settings → Billing, yourself, without phoning anyone. You keep access to the end of the period you've paid for, and you can export your data before you go.

Will the price go up later?

It might — these numbers are early and honest about being early. If they change, existing customers keep the price they signed up at.

Still cheaper than one ticket you forgot to send
